Or use teamviewer quicksupport, personally I recommend this. Improve this answer. Jose Jose 21 4 4 bronze badges. Any reasoning for such answer. It is not mentioned in the question that the apk is been detected as some sort of potential malware, neither it has been mentioned that files with other file type are getting downloaded easily. As you said he didn't say if it was detected as a malware or he didn't say it's working with other file types.
So do what I said and then narrow the possible causes. My answer from here has more details: Download Crutch registers itself as a handler for all files, letting you download any file type.

If you're not using the IDE, you can instead build an app bundle from the command line.
Publish your app bundle to Google Play. Because the IDE and Google Play use the same tools to extract and install APKs on a device, this local testing strategy helps you to verify the following: You can build your app as an app bundle. Your app functions on the target device as you expect. In the right pane, select the General tab. Is that true? You can only internally test an already published app? That makes little well, no sense?

If you have followed the steps in the accepted answer, this is most likely what will solve it for you — rh Since the acceptance answer has a million comments, I'll add one here to give weight to this answer: barbie's suggestion worked for me to get rid of spinner even if it was to get "not found" instead — that's better than interminable blank screen spinner.

I found that the user also has to uninstall the publicly available version of your app from their phone before it allows install from the shareable link.
Also needed to set permission according to stackoverflow. I just went through this completely unintuitive process, so let me clear up some myths: Internal testing does NOT require the app be publicly released The review process for your app apparently needs to complete before the app is available, as others pointed out, but the Play Console gives no indication this is a prerequisite, and happily states in several places that the App is available to internal testers when it is not.
In my case the review took about a month to complete, which is why the "We are experiencing longer than normal review times" message was appearing in the console. This was the initial creation of my app, so I don't know which items-under-review were actually required, as the whole backlog completed at the same time also with no notice to me. Also, make sure you have the Play Store version of the app on your device, not the signed-with-debug-key-by-eclipse version.
No need to clear cache or anything else. Cheers — Kirill Karmazin. Show 1 more comment. Active Oldest Votes. At some point after that, the updates get pushed. This can be a multi-day process unfortunately. Improve this answer. Mike Baglio Jr.
This is disheartening news. I am on a tight schedule with my testers and this wait is not good. On a tight schedule it might be easier to set up a host and just give them a link where an updated version is kept. Still takes couple hours to update for me.
Shame on you, Google — IlyaEremin. Show 6 more comments. Scroll down and click on Clear Cache. Maybe this might help. However in my case the Update to my Alpha Test version was still not available. Worked for me immediately, too! Thanks for this tip! Worked for me! You should easily distinguish Split APKs from the regular ones by looking at the extension name. If you happen to get an app with these extensions and want to sideload it, make sure to use the aforementioned apps that can install them. That should work. So, instead of updating an app overwriting version , we recommend uninstalling the original app and doing a clean install. For those, you should probably uninstall updates to restore them and then sideload an APK.
Besides many other things that can cause this error, lack of storage space is probably not at the top of the list. So, make sure that you have enough storage space.
