Melee is also extremely difficult fighting game and it's being played competitively even over 12 years after the game's release! Hidden mechanics such as l-canceling and wavedashing add much depth to the competitive aspect of the game.
But there are other modes you can do as well. It should go without saying that this is an awesome party game and no matter the skill level of everyone involved, Super Smash Bros Brawl would be a hit at any game night. I find this to be a beautiful looking game.
The different character models all look the best they have ever looked well up to this point and the different backgrounds are truly spectacular. It is not just the characters and the levels that make this a Nintendo fans dream.
The soundtrack is full of classic tunes and some new ones that will rock your speakers. Not to mention all the fun trophies you can collect which showcase every end of the Nintendo spectrum from their humble beginnings to what was available on the Nintendo Wii at the time of release. This is one of my top ten games for the console and I think it is still a lot of fun to play now. It has a ton of characters; awesome levels and the Subspace Embassy is a lot of fun to play through.
